What we install and paint

Book one or both. Paint and flooring often go together: a bedroom repainted and re-floored, a rental turned over between tenants, a house freshened up before it's listed.

Painting

Interior painting

Walls, ceilings, doors and trim. Holes and dings patched and sanded before the first coat.

Exterior painting

Stucco, fascia, eaves and wood trim, with windows, walkways and plants covered while we work.

Flooring

Vinyl plank and laminate

Waterproof plank for kitchens, baths, rentals and homes with pets. Carpet and pad pulled and hauled.

Hardwood

Engineered and solid wood floors, laid over a flat, prepped subfloor.

Baseboards and transitions

New baseboard, quarter round and thresholds so the floor finishes clean at every wall and doorway.

Both together

Move-ins and rental turnovers

Paint and floors on one schedule, so the place is ready on the date you need it.

One contractor, one schedule

When the painter and the flooring installer are two different companies, you wait on both, and the second one works around the first one's mess. Here it's the same person, so the work happens in the right order.

  • Paint goes on first

Walls and ceilings are painted before the new floor goes down, so there are no drips or ladder marks on new plank.

  • No gap between trades

Floors start when the paint is dry, not when a second company has an opening.

  • One price, one number to call

One walkthrough, one estimate for the whole job, and one person to call with questions.

Common questions

Should I paint before or after new floors go in?

Before. Ceilings and walls get painted while the old floor is still down, so drips and ladder feet don't touch the new floor. The new floor goes in next, and baseboards go on last so they can be caulked and painted without masking the floor.

Can new flooring go over my old floor?

Often, yes. Vinyl plank and laminate can float over flat tile, sheet vinyl or old hardwood if it's level and solid. Carpet and pad always come out. We check what's underneath during the walkthrough and tell you which way makes sense.

How long does a job take?

It depends on the size of the space and how much prep it needs. A single room of paint and new plank often takes a couple of days; a whole house takes longer. You get the schedule along with your estimate.
